On Writing
www.amyfound.org -- Encourages Christians to write Letters to the Editor. They offer yearly cash prizes (first prize is $10,000) for the best letters published in secular newspapers. Their main concern is to challenge Americans to live deeper moral and spiritual lives.
www.verlakay.com -- Verla Kay is one of my favorite authors of picture books, some of which are award-winners.
www.wrwa.net -- The Wisconsin Regional Writers Association hosts two conferences a year and three yearly contests, one of which gives a coveted Jade Ring as first prize. Members receive the Wisconsin Journal 3x/yr; Creative Wisconsin magazine 2x/yr; an online, monthly ezine; and access to a writer’s workshop forum.
www.cwfi-online.org/ -- The Christian Writers Fellowship International offers a multitude of service that encourage and equip Christian writers. Membership to CWFI includes subscription to a writers’ magazine, “Cross and Quill; a critique service; help with writing skills, marketing, contracts, choosing agents; and more.
www.lisabullard.com -- Lisa Bullard is the author of several children’s books, including You Can Write a Story: A Story-Writing Recipe for Kids. This book is a winner! I use it when I mentor home-schooled girls in creative writing.
On Nature
www.borealforest.org -- This organization, headquartered in Thunder Bay, Ontario, offers lots of information about the boreal (northern) forests throughout the world. You’ll find maps; a list of the common species of flora and fauna in the boreal forests around the globe; and the impact on the forests from logging, developing, and other environmental issues.
www.nglvc.org -- The Northern Great Lakes Visitor Center is a free-admission, four-season facility that offers a wide variety of fun and educational activities. Go on nature walks, hear about mysterious Great Lakes shipwrecks, learn about the folklore of the region, listen to songs of the voyageurs; attend educational seminars.

http://wandahydephotography.com/ -- Wanda is not only a good friend, but an excellent photographer of wildlife. She sells her photos either framed or unframed, and sells T-shirts of her popular photo of a real lion with a lamb. Awesome! Wanda took the photo of me that you see on my Home Page.
www.persecution.com -- The Voice of the Martyrs is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping persecuted Christians and their families throughout the world. For a gift of $20, you can receive their excellent, monthly newsletter that will keep you informed on the persecuted church and tell you how you can help.
www.livingstonesnews.com – This online magazine is a companion to the print version. It includes inspiring, Christian testimonies.
