Z-Y-X: The Alphabackwards Book
Wispy the Wasp flew from his papery nest
One dewy wet morn after a long rest.
He visited roses and bright flowering weeds,
Drinking their nectar for his wee body’s needs.
He watched other bugs and he flitted with glee
‘Til he struck a sunbather right on her knee!
“Forgive me, I’m sorry!” He wiggled in shame.
Wispy, much wiser, waggled home a bit lame.
Learning the alphabet backwards is fun, especially when it teaches moral, Biblically-based values through the eyes of wild critters.
